How do I make an accident compensation claim?
We have designed a simple process to help you make a claim. The first step is to complete a form so that one of our advisors can contact you. During this confidential, no obligation conversation, the trained advisor will find out the relevant details of your case. The matter is then passed on to one of our solicitors, who starts negotiations on your behalf and will explain the case to you at each stage.
What level of compensation will I get?
As each case is different, there is no ‘standard’ amount. However, as a rule, compensation for one case can be used as benchmark for payments in another similar case. For example, the car accident compensation for two similar road accidents may be around the same figure. Other costs relating to the accident can be recoverable, such as medical costs. Your solicitor can advise you in more detail of the sums you might expect.
What does No Win No Fee mean?
Sometimes, people who have suffered an accident are worried about making a claim because legal fees can be expensive. If you want to claim work accident compensation but your income has been reduced, the cost of potential legal fees may put you off. If you qualify for no win no fee arrangements, you won’t have to pay legal costs if you lose your case. If you win, we recover our fees from the other side.
If I make a claim, will I have to go to court?
Not necessarily. Often parties come to a settlement – perhaps the defendant’s liability to pay, for example, auto accident compensation, is clear and accepted quickly. If the defendant doesn’t agree, your claim may go to court, but your solicitor will always be there to advise.
